Marty Wilde and The Wildcats
50s/60s Rock'n'Roll Legend
This icon to the British rock and roll movement gives an electric performance which celebrates the glory and brilliance of an era that would inspire the British youth-culture across two decades and shape the future of the British music scene. The performance includes songs from Marty’s own library of hits, ‘Teenager in Love’, ‘Jesamine’, ‘Bad Boy’, ‘Rubber Ball’, ‘Sea of Love’ and many more.

Born Reginald Leonard Smith, in Greenwich, London, Wilde was discovered, at just 19 years old, by rock and roll entrepreneur and star-maker Larry Parnes while performing at the Condor Club, London. Marty's big break came with the advent of the UK's first rock and roll TV show,'Six-Five Special' but following Jack Good's dismissal by the BBC, Marty transferred himself to Jack Good's new ITV show 'Oh Boy!'. Wilde enjoyed considerable radio play, secured success as the writer of such hits as Status Quo’s ‘Ice In The Sun’ and by the 70’s Marty had moved on to managing and developing a music dynasty.

Living up to the original spirit of the era, Marty’s superb vocals has audiences on their feet and dancing to his ultimate in Rock n’ Roll hits.
